Big Foot Rock Maple Bowl

Hand turned and carved from hard rock maple (Sugar Maple), from a tree that came down in Burnt Hills, NY. This is a substantial bowl and feels great in the hands. Finished with Hassui Ceramic Liquid Glass, a Japanese ceramic coating that keeps the wood looking very natural, but imparts some water and stain repellent properties. This product has passed Japanese Food Contact Safety Standards.

Care instructions: Wash with soap and water and dry completely. Do not allow to sit in standing water. This bowl will develop a patina from use over time. This is a good thing in my book, as these bowls get more beautiful with age. Do not place this or any wooden product in the dishwasher.
